"Belajarlah untuk, setia..." lirik lagu seorang artis perempuan tanah air terngiang-ngiang di kepalaku... Tak ingat siapa penyanyinya tapi, setia merupakan satu sikap yang terpuji, apatah lagi jika setia pada kebenaran.
Kemelut Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Behrang dan Changkat Jering di Perak berikutan tindakan kedua-dua ADUN yang dikatakan melompat parti, memang memeningkan kepala rakyat jelata. Adakah mereka setia dengan Pakatan Rakyat (PR)? Adakah benar mereka akan (mungkin dah) melompat parti? Kita tinggalkan dulu persoalan ini.
Paklah ada declare kepada media hujung minggu lepas, bahawa ada ADUN Pakatan Rakyat (PR) yang akan melompat parti menyeberang ke BN. Cuma beliau tidak nyatakn butirannya.
Tapi bila tiba-tiba Speaker DUN umumkan kedua-dua exco meletakkan jawatan ADUN, dilihat parti Paklah sedikit menggelabah mungkin. Speaker DUN Perak, ialah dari PR, Adun Tronoh dari DAP iaitu V. Sivakumar. Speaker ini aku lihat setia pada perjuangan PR di Perak dengan memangkas awal-awal sebarang trigger yang boleh merosakkan kestabilan pentadbiran kerajaan PR di sana.
Mengapa?
Bila Speaker DUN Perak menyatakan bahawa dua ADUN berkenaan isytihar meletak jawatan ADUN, alih-alih mereka berdua muncul balik (tak muncul pun, hanya ada statement saja dan perbualan2 telefon dengan wartawan tempatan) seminggu kemudian.Kemunculan semula mereka adalah untuk menafikan dakwaan mereka hilang & mereka meletak jawatan.
Jika ADUN berkenaan sah lompat parti ke BN, maka BN akan mendapat manfaat darinya, pilihan raya kecil tak perlu diadakan, dan banyak benda yang BN boleh cepatkan & jimatkan.
Tapi tidak berlaku sebegitu.
ADUN berkenaan tidak boleh bypass keputusan Speaker DUN yang menerima surat perletakan jawatan bertanda tangan dari mereka. Walaupun surat berkenaan tanpa tarikh, namun penurunan tanda tangan adalah bukti kukuh mengesahkan sesuatu keputusan itu adalah benar & hendak dilakukan. Memanglah kasihan jika tanda tangan itu bukan mereka berdua yang punya, namun YAB MB Perak sudah pun mengadap Sultan Perak. Jika berlaku PR kecil, dua ADUN itu secara automatik tidak lagi berguna kepada BN. Perletakan jawatan sebagai ADUN menyebabkan mereka hilang kelayakan untuk bertanding mana-mana kerusi DUN & Parlimen dalam masa 5 tahun dari sekarang. Dua DUN itu pula akan terlepas. PR kecil menyebabkan persaingan lebih terbuka & PR amat yakin untuk kembali memegang dua kerusi DUN berkenaan dengan dua calon yang lebih setia dengan parti.
Aku sokong kepimpinan MB Perak, keputusan beliau selagi mana ianya tidak melanggar syariat dan selagi mana ianya tidak bercanggah dengan syura parti MB Perak berkenaan.

Kenyataan Media : Demontrasi membantah serangan terbaru Israel dan konsert Rihanna
Kenyataan Media : Demontrasi membantah serangan terbaru Israel dan konsert RihannaDewan Pemuda Pas Wilayah Persekutuan (pemudawilayah) akan mengadakan satu demontrasi aman dihadapan Bangunan Celcom di Jalan Raja Muda Abd Aziz pada 6 Februari 2009 selepas solat Jumaat bagi membantah konsert Rihanna berikutan serangan terbaru Israel di Gaza.
Pemudawilayah sebelum ini telah menghantar satu memorandum bantahan, walaubagaimana pun pihak Celcom yang menjadi penaja dan penganjur bersama enggan membatalkan konsert ini.
Serangan terbaru Israel di Gaza yang disokong oleh Amerika seharusnya mendapat perhatian seluruh rakyat Malaysia dan usaha memboikot produk Amerika termasuklah artis mereka seperti Rihanna perlulah diadakan secara serius.
Oleh itu pemudawilayah mengajak NGOs seperti JIM, ABIM, Hizbu Tahrir, GPMS, Aman Palestine, Dewan Pemuda Masjid, PPIM, Pewaris, Gamis, SMM, GMI, Jerit, Food Not Boms dan sebagainya termasuk pemimpin parti-parti politik untuk turun bersama bagi mendesak pihak Celcom membatalkan konsert Rihanna.
Seandainya konsert Rihanna berjaya dibatalkan, dijangkakan ianya akan memberikan satu liputan meluas diseluruh dunia bagi mengambarkan seriusnya Umat Islam memboikot produk dari Amerika.
Oleh itu kesatuan NGO dan pemimpin politik amatlah dialu-alukan bagi memberikan tekanan kepada Amerika untuk menyekat serangan tentera Israel di Gaza yang sekarang ini telah mencabuli penjanjian gencatan senjata yang di umumkan bulan lepas.
Tindakkan Perdana Menteri Turki, Recep Tayyip Erdogan yang baru-baru ini memalukan Presiden Israel, Simon Peres di Davos seharusnya disambung dengan usaha memboikot segala usaha yang ada kaitan dengan Israel termasuklah konsert Rihanna ini.

Journey back
Well, today we've just returned safely, peacefully & tiredly with the utmost gratitude to Allah, from Cameron Highlands. If I have some times, may be I'll share some pictures taken there with my Canon PowerShot A550 (the camera's old but the pictures are awesome).
It's a shame thing to vomit 3 times in one of the temporary stoppages during the return journey... I'm unable to hold that anymore but I managed to let it out outside my precious Persona. Thank God & thanks very much to my wife, I could continue the journey to Tapah although I felt how empty my stomach was. When I recall riding the banana boat at Pangkor Island last month, nothing wrong with me. May be the motions, the shaking of those 2 different kind of transport are not comparable.

Mana yg terbaik?
Tadi ada dengar akak2 tu sembang pasal spirulina. Then alih2 sembang lak pasal "yang tu claim produk dia bagus, yang ni kata dia paling bagus...bla bla bla..."
Bagi aku, spirulina yang paling bagus pernah aku jumpa setakat entry ini ditulis ialah spirulina Elken. Kebagusannya aku nilai sewaktu aku tengok satu test mudah kat bilik Raihan (L1-417) masa aku sem berapa entah kat UPM... Dia amik beberapa biji spirulina Elken, & beberapa biji spirulina lain, letak dalam botol air mineral 0.5 l, bubuh air sampai 3 suku penuh kalau tak silap, & tutup botol-botol tu. Kemudian, semua botol-botol tu dia (Raihan) letak atas almari dalam bilik dia. Seminggu lebih kot dia tunggu, nak tgk keputusannya. Hasilnya, spirulina Elken larut dalam air, & air bertukar warna jadi warna hijau kebiruan (cyan) tanpa sebarang keladak pun. Berbeza dengan yang lain2, habis semuanya berkeladak...keruh je airnya, keruh hijau tua...
Apa-apa supplementary food yang kita amik, kita nak la larut dalam badan kita, kalu boleh completely dissolved. Spirulina Elken dah membuktikannya.

Palestin
Dalam keadaan yang bergolak sekarang di Palestin, janganlah tinggalkan qunut nazilah untuk sahabat-sahabat kita di sana. Berdoalah seikhlas yang kita mampu. Insya ALLAH ada ganjarannya buat kita dan sahabat-sahabat kita di Palestin sana.
Semasa membaca qunut nazilah, diingatkan supaya membacanya bukan dengan nada yang mendesak2...siapalah kita untuk mendesak ALLAH... walaupun doa ini bisa menaikkan semangat dan meremangkan roma kita, namun berqunutlah dengan tenang.
Jangan lupa mendoakan kemenangan Islam di PR Kecil Parlimen K. Terengganu 17 Januari ini. Kemenangan Islam mampu merintis usaha membebaskan Palestin...

2009 is here. And for people like me, that means it's time to put together not a "year in review" but a "year in preview." I don't like to look back; I like to look ahead. So I offer you this list of what I see in the year to come for the Linux operating system and open source software.

Think about it — an iPhone-like piece of hardware with open source software that anyone can develop for. No more App Store headaches. No more wondering if anyone might ever develop that killer app you need (or waiting for Apple to approve that killer app you need). Add to that the fact that the operating system itself is open, which means when problems arise they will be fixed. Oh, and need I say "copy/paste"? I didn't think so. 2009 will bring an end to the idea that the iPhone is the only smart phone to own.
This is not just a situation where KDE 4.x is so bad that GNOME, as bad as it is, is better. GNOME 2.24 is good, really good. GNOME has gone a little ways to restoring its roots and allowing a bit more flexibility with the desktop. But more important, GNOME 2.24 has finally found some solid footing. GNOME is now as stable as KDE 3.x ever was. And now that KDE has obviously decided to go down a much less popular route with KDE 4, it is going to have a hard year. More and more people and distributions will drop KDE in favor of GNOME. I realize there is no going back for KDE, but going forward better bring much more promise than this Linux desktop has shown thus far.

#1: Android
I think 2009 is going to see the Android mobile operating system finally showing Apple and the iPhone that there is, indeed, another game in town. So far, we really only have the T-Mobile G1. But waiting in the wings are the Motorola Android phone, the Asus Eee Phone, the OpenMoko GTA02, and an LG Android phone. These are all rumored to be arriving some time in 2009. #2: GNOME vs. KDE
I think 2009 will finally see GNOME rise above KDE as the better Linux desktop. For a long time, GNOME has been suffocated by the presence of KDE 3.x and with good reason — KDE 3.x was an outstanding desktop. KDE 3.x had everything a good Linux desktop should have: user friendliness, stability, flexibility, eye candy. GNOME was trying too hard to be a bad copy of OS X. With the advent of KDE 4 the tables have turned.This is not just a situation where KDE 4.x is so bad that GNOME, as bad as it is, is better. GNOME 2.24 is good, really good. GNOME has gone a little ways to restoring its roots and allowing a bit more flexibility with the desktop. But more important, GNOME 2.24 has finally found some solid footing. GNOME is now as stable as KDE 3.x ever was. And now that KDE has obviously decided to go down a much less popular route with KDE 4, it is going to have a hard year. #3: Preinstalled
This has come and this has gone, I know. But HP is now promising to get into the "preinstalling Linux game" and that bodes well for the open source operating system. Add to this the ever-rising tide of netbook sales, and preinstalled Linux sales will begin to show improvement and continue to improve throughout the year. This will not be a flash-in-the pan like we saw with Wal-mart selling desktops preinstalled to unaware consumers. This time around, people will continue to purchase netbooks with a Linux operating system perfectly matched for the purpose. And look out Microsoft — Canonical (the founders/supporters of Ubuntu) is collaborating with AMD on a version of Ubuntu perfectly matched with the ARM processor (the processor common in netbooks.)#4: Brtfs
Brtfs is the new copy on write file system that is focused on fault tolerance, repair, and administration. This file system offers Linux something that other file systems lack: the ability to scale to the level of larger enterprises. Version 1 of this file system should arrive in 2009, which could mean that by the end of the year, distributions could be shipping with a large-scale, enterprise-ready kernel. This is big news for Linux because it will finally have the tools to overcome the biggest hurdle for enterprise adoption.#5: OpenGL for the masses
This has been a long time coming. In 2008, NVidia released a version of OpenGL 3.0 driver for FLOSS OpenGL. But Mesa didn't. Mesa, however, is back and working on a 3.0-compatible release. I am confident that other chip makers will follow suit. This will bring OpenGL to the Linux community in both proprietary and free sources. Along with this, I can see far easier installations of such 3D desktops as Compiz-Fusion. Can you imagine Compiz-Fusion out of the box? On top of that, Linux will have a much easier time working with the newest video technology. Add to this the new drive to move video subsystems to the kernel level using GEM (Graphics Execution Manager) and KMS (Kernel Mode Setting).#6: The cloud
I am going to preface this with a big "if." IF cloud computing does finally gain any solid ground, Linux will lead the way. Be it on the server end or the client end, Linux already has the tools it needs to create solid cloud environments. (It has for a long time.) Linux has always been ahead of Microsoft in this respect. And if the cloud actually develops into the storm the media has been predicting, Linux will reap many benefits. I, for one, am a little hesitant to say that the cloud has arrived. Amazon already has a Linux cloud out of beta.#7: OpenOffice 3
2009 will see far more deployments, taking a chunk out of the Microsoft Office pie. OpenOffice 3 offers a host of new features that are just right for enterprise adoption. But that is not the real kicker. With the economy as it is, companies are doing everything they can to cut costs. One area of quick and painless cost cutting is office suites. And when the typical end user starts to see how little difference there is between Microsoft Office and OpenOffice, the fire will spread rapidly. One of the issues keeping OpenOffice from the top of the charts is visibility. When people know there is a free alternative to Microsoft Office they will use it.#8: Enlightenment
This one is a bit niche-y, but I have to address it. I believe that 2009 will see the developers of the Enlightenment desktop finally endorse E17 as stable. If you have followed the Enlightenment window manager (my favorite, by the way), you know that E16 has been the default forever and E17 has been the unstable development branch forever. 2009 will see E17 be listed as stable. However, I hope that E16 goes nowhere. The E16 version of Enlightenment is one of the best holdovers from Linux' romantic period. I can still say, "This desktop I am using now is the same as it was when I was using back in the day." So even when E17 becomes stable in 2009, I hope E16 is always around.#9: Ubuntu
I see two things happening with Ubuntu. The first is that Ubuntu server will finally be adopted as a viable solution for enterprise server needs. The second is that Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) will find its way to the desktop and become the de facto standard of the user-friendly level of Linux operating systems. Ubuntu already has a strong hold on entry-level user installs. With 9.04, Ubuntu will probably deliver the best benchmarking of any desktop Linux ever, as well as the best hardware support. With the possible adoption of EXA acceleration, ATI video cards will see vastly improved support, and wireless/Bluetooth will include a powering-down feature. Ubuntu 9.04 will give Linux a much-needed push onto the desktop in 2009.#10: Firefox
This one is quickly becoming a no-brainer. Firefox will, in 2009, finally usurp Internet Explorer as King of Browsers. It's been a long time coming, but the problems Internet Explorer has faced in 2008 will show Firefox reaping the benefits. And I think this time around, it will go well beyond Firefox seeing a jump in usage. Firefox will take the lion's share of the user base away from Microsoft. Because of this, the 'net will become a safer place and fewer bugs will be reported. But by the end of the year, Google will release a mass-appeal-ready version of Chrome, which will chip into both Firefox' and Internet Explorer's pies. The browser wars will be renewed.Bright future

Dangerous coding errors revealed
The US National Security Agency has helped put together a list of the world's most dangerous coding mistakes.
The 25 entry list contains errors that can lead to security holes or vulnerable areas that can be targeted by cyber criminals.
Experts say many of these errors are not well understood by programmers.
According to the SANS Institute in Maryland, just two of the errors led to more than 1.5m web site security breaches during 2008.
It is thought that this is the first time the industry has reached agreement on the worst things that can creep into software as it is being written.
More than 30 organisations, including the US National Security Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, Microsoft, and Symantec published the document.

"The top 25 list gives developers a minimum set of coding errors that must be eradicated before software is used by customers," said Chris Wysopal, chief technology officer with Veracode.
"There appears to be broad agreement on the programming errors," says SANS director, Mason Brown, "Now it is time to fix them."
"We need to make sure every programmer knows how to write code that is free of the top 25 errors."
"Then we need to make sure every programming team has processes in place to find and fix these problems [in existing code] and has the tools needed to verify their code is as free of these errors," he said.
Patrick Lincoln, director of the Computer Science Laboratory at SRI International, told the BBC that if programmers prevented these errors appearing in their code, it would deter the majority of hackers.
"This list is primarily for people who have first responsibility for designing a system. Veteran programmers have probably learnt the hard way whereas a brand new programmer will be making more basic errors."
"The real dedicated serial attacker will probably find a way in even if all these errors were removed. But a high school hacker with malicious intent - ankle-biters if you will - would be deterred from breaking in."
Previously, most advice has focused on vulnerabilities that can result from programming errors. The top 25 list examines the actual programming errors themselves.
The US Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the principal adviser to the President, the National Security Council and the Homeland Security Council also lent their support to the list.
In a statement, they said: "We believe that integrity of hardware and software products is a critical for cyber security. "
"Creating more secure software is a fundamental aspect of system and network security, given that the federal government and the nation's critical infrastructure depend on commercial products for business operations."
"The top 25 is an important component of an overall security initiative for our country. We applaud this effort and encourage the utility of this tool through other venues such as cyber education."

Mozilla to end support for Firefox 2

The Mozilla Foundation is planning to end support for the Firefox 2 browser in mid-December, despite the persistence of significant flaws in the most-recent version of the popular browser.
The 'end of life' (EOL) plan for Firefox 2 is part of Mozilla's policy of ending support for previous versions of a product six months after a new version's release. It is designed to allow Mozilla developers to focus their efforts on the current browser version, Firefox 3, released in mid-May.
For users, the policy means an end to security and stability updates for the existing versions, as well as an end to releases of new features.
Support will also cease for the Gecko 1.8 layout engine that underlies both Firefox 2 and the Thunderbird 2 email client. The move will affect a range of third-party Gecko-based browsers, such as SeaMonkey, the Mac-only Camino and the Unix/Linux browser Galeon.
Mozilla confirmed the move on the web page devoted to older versions of its software, stating: "Firefox 2.0.0.x will be maintained with security and stability updates until mid-December, 2008. All users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Firefox 3."
Mozilla is pressing on with the transition despite criticisms of Firefox 3 from some quarters, including some organizations that have found the newer browser unusable due to particular bugs. Some users have noted that Firefox 3 appears to be more prone to crashing than the older browser, and has problems with using too much memory. The browser's new location bar has also come in for criticism. Earlier this month, a system administrator for the University of Bergen commented that a bug related to the use of network drives had meant the organization could not install Firefox 3.
Firefox 2 is still receiving significant numbers of bug-fixes in new releases. Last week, Mozilla released Firefox 2.0.0.18 and Firefox 3.0.4, addressing a dozen security flaws, half of which were ranked as critical. Mozilla's current plan is to release only one more update to Firefox 2, version 2.0.0.19.
Mozilla assured developers that support would continue for Thunderbird 2 past December, despite the fact that it is based on the now-outmoded Gecko 1.8 engine.
"Mozilla (in some form) will provide support for Thunderbird based on the official lifecycle policy," said Mozilla's Michael Connor in a recent message to the Mozilla planning mailing list.
The support situation for third-party browsers based on Gecko 1.8 is more ambiguous, according to Firefox director Mike Beltzner. While he acknowledged that Mozilla developers' focus would no longer be on Gecko 1.8, he said third-party developers would still be free to maintain the software and fix bugs.
"EOL doesn't mean 'everyone stop coding and doing reviews', more that 'we don't have a team doing weekly triage on blockers and milestone releases'," Beltzner wrote in a recent Mozilla mailing list post.
In October, Beltzner said two-thirds of Firefox users were already using version 3. Mozilla set a world’s record for its more than eight million downloads of Firefox 3 in June.

Bila ada masa free, malam2 aku sempat la tengok drama The Legend of Bruce Lee, kat 8TV. Walaupun cerita dia banyak cakap tak banyak aksi pertarungan (biasalah cerita from China, not from Hong Kong), tapi falsafah-falsafah seni mempertahankan diri yang dia bawak tu amat2lah mengesankan di jiwaku ini. Lantas, ianya membangkitkan 'selera' dan rinduku untuk kembali bertempur semula. Jurus pukulan seinci Wing Chun yang ditunjukkan oleh pelakon watak Bruce Lee dalam siri tersebut mengingatkan aku kepada seni-seni 'memukul' karate Goshin-Ryu yang diajar & ditunjukkan oleh Mr Ch'ng masa kat KISAS dulu. Ke'tidak kenaan' yang boleh memusnahkan. Mr Ch'ng Teng Hong adalah cikgu Fizik di KISAS.
Antara falsafah berkenaan ialah mengelak sambil menyerang atau menyerang sambil mengelak...yang turut membawa aku mengimbau kembali gerak2 asas elakan bengkung kosong Gayong Malaysia, iaitu asas elakan kelima & keenam. [Lima - elak balas serentak tepis siku serentak tumbuk rusuk muda, enam - elak balas serentak juring pelipat kanan serentak pancung tengkuk.]
Jeet Kune Done Bruce Lee dilaksanakan dengan langkah2 tdk bertapak sangat berbanding dengan gayong Malaysia. Namun, tapak gerak yang rendah adalah antara asas latihan untuk memiliki kestabilan gerak langkah.
Tapi itulah semua itu tinggal teori je kalu aku ni tak turun padang menggerakkan empat kerat tulang aku nih...it's ok w/pun tanpa partner. Kalau ada partner latihan seni gerakan jadi jauh lebih berkesan. Hari tu TKP DPPWP pun ada tny tak nak buka kelas silat ke kat Putrajaya, aku jawab la balik, aku ni takde tauliah lagi nak mengajar...
Antara partner best masa bersilat...emmm may be.... shauqi ex KISAS, zul janggut (la ni ngajar di an-Nuuriyah Ust Md Noor...bukan ngajar silat la...dia pun rindu2an nak bersilat tapi takde partner), ropizam yg la ni jadi presiden PSSGM UPM & amin sahar yg kije kat arenanet skrg...

Kemenangan Obama
Barack Obama akhirnya disahkan sebagai pemenang dengan jumlah undian 349 berbalas 163, dengan bilangan negeri yang dimenangi 27 plus Washington DC berbanding lawannya John McCain, 21 (setakat 6 Nov '08 1223 MYT). Kemenangan Obama bukanlah sesuatu yang mengejutkan walaupun persaingan sengit diramal berlaku sebelum ini.
Kemenangan ini sememangnya diharapkan mampu mengubah Amerika Syarikat khususnya dan lanskap dunia, termasuk dunia Islam umumnya. Harapan menggunung masyarakat terhadap kemenangan ini untuk mewujudkan suasana yang lebih baik dari sebelumnya akan digalas oleh Obama. Polisi-polisi mengarut dan agresif selama ini yang diguna pakai Amerika terhadap Palestin, Iraq, Syiria, Iran dan lain-lain memang diharapkan akan diubah dengan pemerintahan Obama kelak.
Adakah ia akan berlaku semata-mata kerana kemenangan Obama? Sudah pasti tidak. Lemah sungguhlah kita bila kita mengharapkan kemenangan itu bakal merubah segala-galanya. Bagi umat Islam, tidak ada apa yang boleh mengubah diri mereka melainkan diri mereka sendiri. Faktor-faktor luaran hanyalah penggalak dan pembantu semata-mata. Dalam kita berharap dan bersangka baik dengan kemenangan ini, kita masih dituntut untuk melaksanakan perubahan bagi mewujudkan komuniti Islam yang lebih baik dan teratur seterusnya membangunkan sebuah daulah dan khilafah.
Jadi, apa yang telah dijalankan sebelum ini tidak harus dihentikan begitu saja, malah mesti berterus-terusan ditambah baik. OK, sambung kerja!

Malaysia hails Obama win as a boon for peace
Malaysia said Wednesday that Barack Obama's victory could mean less use of American force in solving world conflicts, and more respect for smaller nations.
"Malaysia... hopes Obama's government will be more sensitive to the sovereignty of smaller nations and will not use force in resolving global conflicts," Foreign Minister Rais Yatim said in a statement.
"Obama's victory is seen as bringing change and hope to the world," he added.
"Malaysia welcomes him as the new light in the struggle for democracy. As America's first black president his victory has shown that Americans can accept a leader regardless of colour, religion or beliefs."
Rais said that Malaysia, a predominantly Muslim nation, hoped the new administration would also pay greater attention to developing countries as well as to humanitarian and developmental issues.
Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim, a former deputy premier who was strongly backed by the United States after being sacked and jailed in 1998, said Obama would boost prospects for engagement between the US and Muslim countries.
"Some of the most contentious issues of our time, including the ongoing conflicts and confrontations in the Middle East, require a commitment to diplomacy, a willingness to engage in a meaningful dialogue and a departure from the aggressive unilateralism witnessed in recent years," he said.
"In this we anticipate that president-elect Obama will show leadership where previous administrations have failed."
Malaysia has been a long-term critic of the US intervention in Iraq, with former premier Mahathir Mohamad branding incumbent US President George Bush a "war criminal".
